Comic Con 2010 and artist blogs

http://nicegirlstv.com/2010/07/20/comic-con-here-i-come-again/ That’s right I got featured! Right before I went to SDCC I was featured, I almost couldn’t believe it and really it did a lot to boost my confidence. Then I went to Con and it only got better. I had two tables in the Artist Auction, held upstairs, and I was put into a corner, by the windows. Dan, the MAN, did set up and visual presentation for me and made it GORGEOUS! Nearly half of my product sold and yes I am open for commissions so don’t hesitate to ask. Petticoats, pantaloons, Mini tophats, what ever your heart desires. So thank you to all who have helped and...

I love you youtube

Rolled hem Serger Found this wonderful thing while trolling youtube for sewing videos, what was I having trouble with? Rolled hems! The persons in charge of making the serger manual did not really think wording through, they are somewhat incomplete and only make sense if you are experienced at doing what they are trying to teach you…. not helpful. So here you go, I know I’ll be using this very shortly. Raven  »View More

Need a pattern, Sounds demented

Need a German Officers uniform Circa WWII 1940′s. A symbol only has the power you give to it and I don’t plan on giving it power. I like the form and the silhouette and I plan to make some protest clothing from the patterns. This will be what I make it not what has been made of it, I am taking back the power from all it’s negative influence, history, and ignorance. So if anyone knows where to get one that would be great.  »View More

Balance

Design class. This was a mirror project make or take a picture cut it in half a create a mirror image by cutting out the white and flipping it to the black, much like looking at a picture and negative at the some time. I created my own picture representative of myself. We were allowed one small liberty, a difference between the two halves, see if you can spot mine.  »View More

Long Beach Comic Con, a Very Good Day!

I went to the Long Beach Comic Convention held Saturday the 20th to support a great arsist in her booth. I figured hang out for a few hours, smooze, take a little walk around and relax at this little event. Well I ended up doing a little more. I became a booth babe, the girl behind the counter that brings you in talks to you, lets you know what’s going on, next time I will be dressing the part. Beyond that I met Tim Bradstreet, he was an artist for White Wolf (more specifically Vampire: the Masqurade), an RPG company, he also did cover art for Constantine, Punisher, and GI JOE, just to name a few. He was very down to earth and gracious to...
